SUMMARY
Chopard introduced the original St. Moritz in 1980 as their entry into the luxury sports watch design that has taken the Swiss industry by storm. Designed to represent the active lifestyles and discerning tastes of a sophisticated Alpine elite, the St. Moritz features an integrated bracelet design synonymous with the luxury sports watch moniker.
An overall style of ‘form follows function’ was used as inspiration and can be seen with the highly legible silver dial featuring printed Roman numeral markers at 3, 6, 9, and 12. Applied batons can be found on the other hour markers, and a date aperture is located between the 4 and 5 o’clock position. It is rumored that the ref. 8300 was produced less than 500 times, and is powered by the Jaeger-LeCoultre caliber 889, which is equipped with a 40-hour power reserve.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
Any watch not covered by a current sales or service warranty should be considered as potentially requiring a service, even if in full working order on the date of purchase.
