Girard PerregauxFerrari Chronograph

The F300 Chronograph was released as part of Girard-Perregaux’s successful partnership with the famed automaker. It pays tribute to the Formula 1 car, which competed in the 1998 championship with the same name. Redolent of motorsport, the watch features a chronograph laid out in sub-registers that echo the look of car gauges. In addition, a tachymeter scale is also incorporated around the edge of the dial for timing average speeds. Finally, the carbon fibre pattern on the dial is a nod to the material commonly used in race car construction. Despite its collaboration with Ferrari, the watch keeps the co-branding tastefully subtle, with the prancing horse appearing on the crown and case back only. Sitting underneath this is the calibre 2280, which is based on the renowned ETA 2892 with a Dubois Dupraz chronograph module. 

This 1999 example is presented in good condition with some marks and swirls visible on the case commensurate with age and regular use. The accompanying leather strap shows clear signs of wear. Also included in the sale are the Ferrari branded box, guarantee, and booklet.
