SUMMARY
Launched in 1987, the Galbée is the contemporary Cartier Santos as we know it. Gone was its predecessor’s chunky, angular aesthetic, which was been replaced with a smoother, more rounded look - an aesthetic still carried by the current Santos. Echoing the opulence of the 80s, the watch is finished in steel and 18K yellow gold, and is regarded as the watch that made two-tone cool. The dial is traditional Cartier thanks to the blue sword-shaped hands, black Roman numeral indices, and matching inner track. The Santos has been part of Cartier’s line-up since 1904 and its iconic design has always been a case of evolution in line with current trends.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
Any watch not covered by a current sales or service warranty should be considered as potentially requiring a service, even if in full working order on the date of purchase.
