Sell it with usAuctioned through a trade vendor, this 1990s Omega Speedmaster is a watch-only lot and is not accompanied by its box or papers. Now in its third decade, there are some visible marks and swirls on the case, most notably on the rear case back. In addition, the images show a blemish on the left flank. The watch’s overall condition appears to be consistent with the vendor’s ‘B’ grading.
An all-time classic reference within the world of watches, this 39mm Omega Speedmaster was commissioned by the Swiss watchmaker to commemorate Formula 1 legend, Michael Schumacher. Finished in stainless steel, the Speedmaster’s dial is finished in an eye-catching red colour and features a motorsport-inspired minute outer track. Traditional elements of the Speedmaster design remain such as a three-register chronograph and black tachymeter bezel. The watch is paired with an aftermarket calfskin strap with red stitching and a rubber underlay.
Beating at the heart of this motorsport-inspired timepiece is Omega’s 1141 calibre, which is based on the robust and reliable ETA 2890, with a modular vertical clutch chronograph.
The Schumacher edition Speedmaster was launched as a limited edition to commemorate the future seven-time F1 world champion joining Omega as a brand ambassador.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
