Sell it with usThis eye-catching Speedmaster was launched in the late 1990s with Formula 1 legend Michael Schumacher. While the series consisted of three dial and strap variations across all three primary colours, perhaps the most fun and charming was the yellow version - as we see here. The lively yellow tone jumps off the wrist as the watch’s standout feature, with a staggered checkered flag pattern around the perimeter adding additional visual appeal. The red and black hands are finished in a varnished lacquer and offer contrast for easy reading.
The stainless-steel case has a distinctive asymmetrical shape and lyre style lugs synonymous with the Speedmaster model line. With a diameter of 39mm, it's the perfect size for almost any wrist. The bezel features a tachymeter scale inlay as a nod to the Speedmaster’s motorsport heritage. Moving inside the case, the watch is powered by the Omega calibre 1141, which is based on the robust and reliable ETA 2890, with a modular vertical clutch chronograph. The watch is fitted with an uncommon factory yellow strap that’s double bolstered and nicely complements the dial.
This example is presented in worn condition and shows light signs of wear on the case, including a small scratch on the lug at 8 o’clock. The strap also shows some signs of wear. Included in the sale is the original Formula 1 wheel presentation holder.
