SUMMARY

A relative newcomer to the venerable Cartier Tank Collection, the Americaine joined the line-up in 1989. Based on the 1921 Tank Cintrée, it kept the curved case profile but with more substantial dimensions. Inspired by the narrow design of the Renault tanks used by the French army in World War 1, the Tank’s art deco aesthetic is amplified by its yellow gold construction and black alligator leather strap.
