SUMMARY

In the 1980s, Patek Philippe introduced the mid-size reference 3800 Nautilus. It had a reduced diameter of 37.5mm and was intended to appeal to a wider audience. Carrying over many of the original Nautilus design elements, the 3800 saw a continuation of the rounded octagonal bezel and protruding ears. The watch is powered by the calibre 335 SC, which is elaborately decorated with Côtes de Genève across the bridges and 21K winding rotor. The movement is stamped with the Geneva Seal hallmark and is widely regarded as one of the best ultra-thin movements.
