A watch that’s maintained somewhat of a cult status in the Patek Philippe catalogue, the Ellipse is the company’s second-longest-running model line - preceded only by the Calatrava. The watch’s elliptical shape - somewhere between a circle and a rectangle - is designed using the ‘golden ratio’ and is characterised by its unique lugless case. The 1738/118 is a timeless dress watch from the 80s, finished with an 18K yellow gold case and woven bracelet, matched perfectly with the contrasting blue dial.
