SUMMARY
The Omega 145.020 is known in collector’s circles as the ‘Soccer Timer’. That’s because this watch was originally designed to help professional referees to see the duration of a soccer match time over 45 minutes per half. The regular running seconds time is shown with a fluorescent orange hand, and the three chronograph hands are white against subdials colour-coded red/black for perfect legibility. The lume on the dial and hands have developed patina and are matching in colour. The watch is in unworn/completely as new condition, with a case, crystal, dial, movement, and crown all signed by Omega. This particular example is incredibly rare being in wonderful condition with its omega factory purple sealant still in place on the caseback.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
