SUMMARY
The simple, elegant Calatrava dress watch has been a constant in the Patek Philippe collection since its introduction in 1932. The model takes its name from the Calatrava cross, an ancient ornate cruciform symbol that Patek Philippe registered as a trademark in 1887. The ref. 2568 presented here features a three-body 18K yellow case measuring a diminutive 33mm in diameter, fitting with vintage references. The sloped white dial is adorned with yellow gold baton hands and applied hour markers and features small seconds sundial at the 6 o’clock position. The watch is matched with a black leather strap fixed with a yellow-gold buckle.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
Any watch not covered by a current sales or service warranty should be considered as potentially requiring a service, even if in full working order on the date of purchase.
