The Calatrava originated in 1932 and is the longest-running model line in Patek Philippe’s catalogue. It is characterised by simple, time-only functionality and a round case, which is true of the watch presented here. This reference 1578 dates 1958 and is crafted in yellow gold and complemented by a cream dial with applied markers and a dimple-style minutes track. The watch is powered by the manually-wound calibre 27 SC movement and is paired with an aftermarket brown alligator strap.
