- Established in 1868, IWC has a longstanding heritage in Swiss watchmaking: mainly known for its pilots watches, the brand also offers an extensive back catalogue of dress and sports watches
- This vintage piece from the 1940s comes in a period appropriate 35mm stainless steel case
- It features a dark grey/brown dial with an even patina developed over years of UV exposure
- Contrasting nicely against the dial are the golden arabic numeral hour markers and the leaf handset, also golden
- A sub-dial at 6 o'clock displays the running seconds
- Another captivating detail are the with unconventional hinged lugs, reminiscent of the ones found on modern-day Da Vinci models
