• Redesigned for 2022, the latest-generation Rolex Air-King represents an all-new direction for The Crown’s quirky pilot’s watch
• For this version, Rolex did away with the case its predecessor shared with the Milgauss and replaced it with an all-new 40mm case, which is flatter with crown guards; a design feature previously unseen on the Air-King
• Inspired by the Bloodhound SSC land speed record vehicle, the watch’s dial largely carries over from the previous Air-King, but adds a zero before the 5 at the one o’clock hour marker, and the 3,6 and 9 markers are now filled with Rolex’s Chromalight luminous material
• Internally, Rolex introduced the calibre 3230, a chronometer-certified automatic movement with a 70-hour power reserve
