- Released in 2020 as a tribute to the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 13 mission and the Silver Snoopy Award, this limited edition Omega Speedmaster brings a unique aesthetic and several premium upgrades over the regular ‘Moonwatch’
- Instead of the Moonwatch’s utilitarian black dial, this reference has a vibrant silver finish with blue sub-registers and a matching blue tachymeter scale
- The sub-register at 9 o’clock has a laser etching depicting the famous Snoopy character in a spacesuit in the same style as the Snoopy Award patch
- The case back is this special-edition Speedy’s standout feature, showing Snoopy taking a trip around the dark side of the moon as the chronograph is actuated; the Earth disc rotates once per minute in sync with the watch’s running seconds
- Powering the watch is Omega’s Co-Axial chronometer calibre 3861; a manual-winding movement with a 50-hour power reserve
- This 2023 example is offered by a private collector based in the UK
- Presented with its special edition ‘Silver Snoopy Award’ display box, warranty, master chronometer certification, pictograms card, operating instructions, and an ‘Eyes on the Stars’ Snoopy booklet
- A loupe and Omega ‘Snoopy’-branded polishing cloth are also included as part of the set
- Covered by Omega’s five-year international warranty until 2028
- Graded ‘AA’ by the vendor who reports the watch to be in unworn condition
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
Any watch not covered by a current sales or service warranty should be considered as potentially requiring a service, even if in full working order on the date of purchase.
