SUMMARY
This contemporary Royal Oak Chronograph is finished in stainless steel with expertly hand-laid polished bevels along the flanks and lug hoods. Similar attention to detail can be seen on the bezel, with sharp transitions between the brushed and polished surfaces. This iconic piece of watch design features a traditional ‘grande tapisserie’ dial with contrasting sub-registers to display the chronograph and running seconds. Meanwhile, the baton hands and hour markers are finished in applied white gold, and there is a deep silver-finished date window located at 4:30.
Regarded as having one of the best bracelets in the game, each link on this example has finely polished bevels to match the finishing on the case. It’s secured to the wrist with a folding clasp featuring the Audemars Piguet ‘AP’ logo. Beneath the sapphire case back is AP’s 4401 calibre adorned with an AP-signed golden router and equipped with a power reserve of 40 hours.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
