Auctioned through a private seller, this one-owner 2022 Rolex Sky-Dweller was purchased from a Rolex authorised dealer and comes as a full set. The watch is presented with its original display box and outer sleeve, and official paperwork including proof of its five-year Rolex guarantee providing cover until 2027. Further additions to the set include swing tags, and an additional bracelet link. The vendor advises that this unworn watch is in good working order, and they have given it an ‘AA’ grading. The photos and information provided appear to correlate with that assessment.

Finished in 18K yellow gold and measuring 42mm in diameter, this dual-timekeeping Rolex is a watch with serious wrist presence. Fitted with a fluted bezel reminiscent of the classic Rolex Day-Date, the reference features a bright black ‘sunburst’ dial with gold baton indexes and a ‘Cyclops’ date window at three o’clock. The easy-to-read dial boasts plenty of visual intrigue thanks to an off-centre disc, and this 24-hour display provides day and night-time hours in the wearer’s second time-zone of choice. Mounted to the watch’s lugs is a case-matching 18K yellow gold bracelet with polished centre links.

The Sky-Dweller is powered by Rolex’s powerful 9001 calibre. This automatic, chronometer-certified movement was developed entirely in-house by the brand and is one of the brand’s most advanced movements thanks to its selector wheel responsible for ensuring the interaction of all the watch’s moving parts including the second time-zone dial. Calibre 9001 has a power reserve of up to 72 hours.

The Rolex Sky-Dweller was introduced in 2012 and was the first all-new Rolex for since the Yacht-Master in 1992. It is considered to be the brand’s “travel watch” thanks to its dual-time and annual calendar functions.
