SUMMARY
The Code 11:59 was launched in 2019 as an all-new model line for the ‘Holy Trinity’ watchmaker. A number of different references have been released including this chronograph, which is finished in a combination of white gold and ceramic. The smoked grey dial is nuanced with a vertical satin-finished base, white gold applied hour-markers and hands, and a black inner bezel with a tachymeter scale.
AP has fitted the watch with a double-curved sapphire crystal, which is both a curiosity and a highly-unusual piece of watch engineering. The crystal’s internal surface is dome-shaped, but is vertically curved from six to 12 o’clock, thus creating a unique visual experience for the wearer.
The Code 11.59 is powered by AP’s calibre 4401, which is shared with the brand’s iconic Royal Oak Chronograph. Viewable through the exhibition case back and elaborately decorated, this self-winding automatic movement comprises 40 jewels and has a power reserve of 70 hours.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
Any watch not covered by a current sales or service warranty should be considered as potentially requiring a service, even if in full working order on the date of purchase.
