In 2019, Rolex expanded its Yachtmaster range by releasing the contemporarily sized and handsomely proportioned Yacht-Master 42. The polished white gold case has substantial wrist presence, adding 2mm in diameter to previous iterations. In keeping with other precious metal models in the range, the rotating bezel is fitted with a ceramic insert that’s media blasted with polished markers and numerals. The gloss black dial features gold indices and hands filled with Rolex’s proprietary “Chromalight” luminescence - providing high levels of contrast and legibility.

Housed underneath the screw-down case back is Rolex’s latest generation calibre 3235, equipped with a 70-hour power reserve. It’s also Chronometer certified and tested after casing to a tolerance of +2 to -2 seconds per day. The watch is secured to the wrist via Rolex’s “Oysterflex” rubber strap, which suits the watch’s aesthetic and allows it to be dressed up or worn casually.

This 2021 example shows only light signs of wear, and its condition is within the bounds of the seller’s A grading. It's supplied with a spare Oysterflex strap in unworn condition that's sized for a smaller wrist. The sale also includes the watch’s box, guarantee card, booklet and swing tags. Rolex’s five-year warranty provides cover until 2026.

All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.

The description of this auction lot is, to the best of the seller's knowledge, accurate and not misleading.
