Auctioned through a trade vendor, this 2021 Rolex Sea-Dweller comes as a complete set with its original display box, warranty card, service booklet, user manual and swing tags. The watch’s case and bracelet are marked by light swirling which can only be seen under close inspection, and its condition aligns with its vendor’s ‘A’ condition grading. Rolex's five-year international warranty provides cover until 2026.

Launched in 2017 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of this iconic model, the watch was upsized to 43mm. The watch is characterised by its black dial and black ceramic unidirectional 60-minute bezel. The aforementioned dial possesses a sleek-yet-functional aesthetic, with Chromalight hour markers and hands. Characterising this purposeful, heavyset timepiece is its case-mounted helium escape valve, which identifies it as Rolex’s flagship diver’s watch. The other distinctive feature is the red script, which pays tribute to the original Sea-Dweller from the 1960s.

Rolex has engineered the Sea-Dweller to be water-resistant to 1,200 metres (4,000 feet). Furthermore, its patented ‘Glidelock’ bracelet allows the owner to adjust the watch without needing any tools, meaning it can be easily worn over any wetsuit.

Reference 126600 is powered by Rolex’s hardy 3235 calibre, which has been internally tested by the Swiss watchmaker to a tolerance of +2 to -2 seconds per day. This automatic movement has also been widely praised by Rolex aficionados for its hardy nature, as well as its high levels of precision and reliability.

The Rolex Sea-Dweller was launched in 1967 as a professional diver’s tool. Since its introduction, the watch has become synonymous with marine scientists around the world and remains highly sought-after amongst collectors seeking a more hardy alternative to the ubiquitous Rolex Submariner.
