Sell it with usThis one-owner Rolex Daytona ref. 116500LN was purchased new by the vendor from a UK authorised dealer in 2021. It’s being offered as a full set and is accompanied by the display box, outer box, warranty card, sleeve, booklet, swing tags and Rolex gloves. The vendor has graded the watch ‘AAA’ for condition, noting there are no marks on the case or bracelet and factory stickers are in place on the inside of the clasp and case back. The images appear consistent with that assessment.
The ref. 116500LN is the latest generation of Rolex’s wildly popular stainless steel Daytona. It was met with enthusiasm by collectors at its launch in 2016, incorporating a “Cerachrom” ceramic bezel for the first time. The watch was released in two colour variations - a white dial with black sub-registers and black with silver sub-registers, as we see here.
Striking the perfect balance between sport and luxury, the 40mm case is both ergonomic and supremely wearable. The new “Cerachrom” bezel gives the watch a more bold and substantial appearance and complements the polished case. The hands and indices are applied in 18K white gold and filled with Rolex’s proprietary “Chromalight” luminescence. Sub-registers at 3,6 and 9 o’clock indicate the chronograph timing and constant seconds.
The three-link Oyster bracelet, like the case, is made from corrosion-resistant 904L steel. It has polished centre links and an Easylink extension in the clasp, allowing for 5mm of tool-free adjustment.
Beneath the screw-down casing beats the in-house developed Rolex 4130 calibre which has been powering the Daytona since the launch of the third-generation reference in 2000. With a power reserve of 72 hours, this automatic movement is chronometer-certified and beats to an accuracy of +2/-2 seconds per-day after casing.
