Sell it with usFirst released at Baselworld 2013, the ref. 5227 embodies the classical aesthetic of the Calatrava line but with a more contemporary 39mm case. Simple in appearance, the model features a number of subtle and interesting details, none more so than the officer’s style caseback. A small hidden hinge allows it to be lifted up, revealing the expertly finished calibre 324 SC. This automatic winding movement features a 21K winding rotor and a 45-hour power reserve.
The case of this example is finished in white gold and complemented by a lacquered gloss black dial. Simply laid out, the face is adorned with dauphine hands, applied indices, a dimple-style minute track, and a date aperture at 3 o’clock. Accompanying the watch is a factory black leather strap and pin-buckle.
This 2021 example is presented in mint, unworn condition. In addition to the travel pouch shown in the photographs, the watch is also supplied with its box and papers.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
