SUMMARY
One of just 125 pieces, this highly exclusive 2021 Pilot's Watch has been configured by Collective Horology in California as a love letter to IWC at its brilliant, Teutonic best. The watch draws heavily on the manufacturer’s rich back catalogue of utilitarian pilot’s watches, in particular reference 3706 from the late 1990s. The watch's dial is highly legible, and appears to combine classic chronograph design cues with a clean, modern appearance; an aesthetic enhanced by the black nylon strap with white stitching. On the flip side, the automatic 69385 calibre is visible through the rear viewing crystal and is accentuated by a blackened rotor which juxtaposes with the rest of the movement's components. Finally, as a further nod to its functional, no-nonsense roots, the date wheel is presented in German.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
