For 85 years, IWC has been engineering Pilot’s Watches. Designed as precise and reliable navigational tools, modern models such as this ref. IW502702 are celebrated for their cockpit inspired aesthetics, robustness, and high legibility.

Presented on a 46mm stainless steel case with a height on the wrist of 15.3mm, the IWC Big Pilot's Watch Annual Calendar Spitfire is no shrinking violet. Much like the iconic fighter it shares its name with, it is the embodiment of form and function. A distinctive oversized screw-down crown and see-through sapphire glass case back complete the body of the watch.

Powered by a IWC-manufactured 52850 Calibre automatic movement with an impressive 168 hour power reserve. The movement’s Côtes de Genève finish is visible through the case back.

Functions include an annual calendar with displays for the month, date, and day, along with a power reserve display and small hacking seconds. On the annual calendar, the month, date, and day are displayed in three separate windows arranged according to the American date format.

Set within a slate dial with Arabic numerals, the watch is laid out for legibility. It’s clear and attractive dial is protected by Sapphire glass with a convex, anti-reflective coating on both sides.

Secured with a vintage inspired brown calfskin leather strap which shows some very minor creasing and signs of slight wear means this watch is available in good condition. The watch itself is has no obvious marks and comes with original box and papers.

All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.

The description of this auction lot is, to the best of the seller's knowledge, accurate and not misleading.
