RolexMilgauss

Originally launched in the 1950s as an anti-magnetic tool watch aimed at scientists and technicians, Rolex reimagined the Milgauss when it debuted the ref. 116400 in 2007 after a long period of absence. Following soon after was the ref. 116400GV, which featured a unique green-tinted sapphire crystal, as we see here. Unique to the Milgauss, it creates a halo effect around the edge of the glass. Also providing visual interest is the bright orange lightning bolt seconds hand, which is instantly recognisable and a nod to historical models. At 3, 6, and 9 o’clock, orange hour markers continue the colour theme, as do the numbers around the minutes track and the name inscribed on the dial. Sitting underneath the screw-down case back and housed inside an anti-magnetic Faraday cage is the calibre 3131. The movement has a 48-hour power reserve and is Chronometer-certified. 

This 2020 example is presented in very good condition, with some light swirls on the case and bracelet. Included in the sale are the box, guarantee, and swing tags, and spare links. Rolex’s five-year warranty covers the watch until 2025.
