SUMMARY
As Rolex’s most hardcore diver, the D-Blue takes on all of the Deepsea’s technical capabilities including the impressive 12,800 feet / 3,900 metres of waterproofness but introduces some aesthetic changes that set it apart from the standard model. These include a distinctive blue to black gradient face and “DEEPSEA” script that has been moved to the bottom half of the dial and coloured bright green to match Cameron’s submarine. The Deepsea makes its intentions clear as a robust dive watch with a stainless steel case measuring 44mm in diameter and over 17.5mm thick. Despite the size, Rolex has fitted the watch with a titanium caseback to reduce weight and enhance comfort.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
