Sell it with usThis single-owner TAG Heuer Carrera Tourbillon is accompanied by its outer and display box, instructions and C.O.S.C booklet, warranty card dated October of 2019 and original rubber strap. The watch shows some light signs of wear and creasing on both straps. The information and photos appear consistent with the vendor’s ‘A’ grading of the watch.
Staying true to the model’s timeless silhouette and lines, this example uses modern materials and years of R&D to create a value-packed tourbillon. The 45mm titanium case has a matte black PVD coating, giving the watch a very stealthy appearance, with a carbon fibre tachymeter bezel insert to address the watch’s (and brand’s) motorsport roots.
Combining these modern materials with one of the oldest and most complicated functions that can be introduced to a watch, the Carrera features a hand-crafted flying tourbillon that can be seen through the skeleton dial.
At the time of its launch, the TAG Heuer Carrera Tourbillon was welcomed by the watch community with enthusiasm due to its unique blend of contemporary and traditional elements, and access to one of watchmaking’s most revered complications at a price point significantly lower than other manufacturers.
