SUMMARY
Part of the latest generation of Rolex's iconic motorsport watch, this reference 116518LN is specified with a 'Paul Newman' dial. The watch gained its nickname from the dial design which reflects the Rolex Daytona worn by Paul Newman during his motorsport career, hence the moniker. Despite the 1960s origins of its design, the watch is a thoroughly modern Rolex and was launched at Baselworld in 2017. Its in-house calibre 4130 is an automatic chronometer certified movement with a 72-hour power reserve, whilst the 'Oysterflex' rubber composite strap is a Rolex-patented invention and is linked to a folding clasp that allows for 5mm of wrist adjustment without an adjustment tool.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
Any watch not covered by a current sales or service warranty should be considered as potentially requiring a service, even if in full working order on the date of purchase.
