Sell it with usPatek Philippe makes only a few Grand Complication watches in any given year due to the lengthy time required to create them. These Grand Complications represent the pinnacle of Patek Philippe ownership, and the release of the reference 2397 perpetual calendar in 2016 was greeted with almost universal delight among Patek collectors. A new dial layout thrilled the traditionalists whilst a new case, slightly larger than its predecessor at 39mm, brought attention from new collectors attracted by its more contemporary size.
Even though it’s a highly complex timepiece with numerous indications on the dial, the display never appears cluttered. The dial is beautiful with its Feuille hands, ivory lacquer and applied Breguet numerals. The ultra-thin self-winding calibre 240 Q that beats within this reference 5327 is one of the benchmark movements in the world of Haute Horlogerie. Despite the complexity of the movement, it looks remarkably clean and uncluttered. And the finishing is some of the best you’ll find anywhere, with its exquisite perlage, Côtes de Genève and bevelling. Then there’s a stunning micro-rotor to keep things ticking along.
This Patek Philippe 5327 in yellow gold has a timeless quality and comes in almost unworn condition on an alligator strap with square scales and a signed fold-over clasp in yellow gold. It is accompanied by its presentation box, a travel pouch, accessories, spare strap and Certificate of Origin.
