Launched at Baselworld 2015 to the surprise of collectors and enthusiasts, the reference 5524R blends the utilitarian looks of a pilot’s watch with Patek Philippe’s clever travel time complication. With a profile that clearly distinguishes it from other models in the Calatrava line, the 42mm rose gold case has distinctive pushers on the left flank for adjusting the skeletonised “local-time” hour hand.

Designed with legibility in mind, the sunburst brown dial features large rose gold Arabic numerals filled with Super-LumiNova. Complementing the watch’s look and feel is a factory brown leather strap with contrast stitching and a “levis” style buckle. The underside reveals an exhibition case back displaying the expertly finished calibre CH 324 S C FUS with the Patek Philippe seal, meaning it is regulated to -3/+2 seconds per day.

This 2019 example is presented in excellent condition and is being sold with its box, certificate of origin, leather folder, booklets, and adjustment tool. The owner is also providing two separate valuations dated to 2019 and 2021.
