- Released in 2018 and now discontinued, this Yacht Club Chronograph reference is a summery take on the IWC Portugieser - a watch that can trace its origins back to the late 1930s
- Whilst retaining the Portugieser’s signature piston-style chronograph pushers and highly-legible dial, the reference IW39050 features an all-new sporty blue rubber strap, and a matching blue sunray chronograph dial; both of which provide a stark contrast to the formal, austere aesthetic of the standard watch
- Housed beneath the sapphire crystal caseback beats IWC’s well-regarded calibre 89361, an automatic movement with a 68-hour power reserve and a flyback chronograph function
- The watch is water resistant to 60 metres (6 bar)
- Offered by a private collector in the United Kingdom
- Presented with its display box, outer packaging, guarantee, booklets and the original purchase invoice
- The watch was serviced by IWC in September 2023 at a cost of £730; service papers are included with the lot
- An IWC-branded polishing cloth is also part of the set
- IWC’s two-year service guarantee covers the watch until 2025
- Graded ‘AA’ for condition by the vendor who reports that the watch is in good working order and has not been worn since its recent service
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
Any watch not covered by a current sales or service warranty should be considered as potentially requiring a service, even if in full working order on the date of purchase.
