ABOUT THIS WATCH
- Introduced in 2010, the evergreen Rolex Submariner ‘Hulk’ is seen as the spiritual successor to the much-loved Submariner ‘Kermit’ - a watch launched in 2003 by Rolex to celebrate 50 years of the world’s most recognised dive watch
- Since its discontinuation in 2020, the Hulk has become a highly collectable piece on the secondary market
- The watch takes its nickname from the green sunray dial and green ‘Cerachrom’ bezel
- This watch bears Rolex’s 40mm ‘Maxi’ case which features broader lugs, a thicker profile, and a wider bezel over previous cases used in the manufacture of the Submariner
- The trip-lock screw-down crown affords 300 metres of water resistance
- Beneath the rear casing beats Rolex’s calibre 3135, an automatic movement with a 48-hour power reserve
- Like all Submariners, the ‘Hulk’ is paired with an Oyster bracelet, with this contemporary version featuring Rolex’s Glidelock extension system
