This one-owner Rolex Submariner ref. 114060 was purchased new by the vendor from an authorised dealer in 2018. It’s accompanied by the display box, outer box, warranty card, sleeve, booklets and swing tags. The remainder of Rolex’s international warranty covers the watch until 2023. The vendor advises the watch is in new, unworn condition, fully stickered and only been handled for photography. They’ve graded the watch ‘AAA’ for condition and the images are consistent with that assessment.

Recently discontinued, the ref. 114060 defined a new era of Submariner design when it launched in 2012. It was updated with some significant changes from the previous generation but remains the purest expression of the world’s most recognised dive watch.

The watch presents in a 40mm stainless steel case which wears with more wrist presence than its dimensions would suggest, thanks to large squared-off lugs synonymous with modern Rolex design. While the Submariner has well and truly moved into the realms of luxury since its tool-watch beginnings, it hasn’t lost any of its utility. The screw-down trip-lock crown affords 300m of water resistance, and the large white gold indices and hands are filled with Rolex’s proprietary “Chromalight” luminescence for superior legibility.

Housed underneath the screw-down case back is the tried and tested calibre 3135. This long-running movement is both chronometer-certified and tested after casing to a tolerance of +2 to -2 seconds per day. The watch is secured to the wrist by a satin-finished Oyster bracelet with Rolex’s Glidelock extension system providing up to 20mm of tool-free adjustment.

All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
