Underappreciated next to its all-steel counterpart, the reference 116503 Daytona has a handsome and classical look. The 40mm case strikes a perfect balance between a sporty and dressy aesthetic. The hands, indices and Rolex coronet are all made from 18K yellow gold, as is the tachymeter engraved bezel, screw-down pushers, and crown. A hint of colour is introduced onto the dial with the “DAYTONA” script printed in red.

The two-tone bracelet has polished gold centre links with an Oysterlock clasp and an Easylink extension - providing 5mm of tool-free adjustment. Housed underneath the screw-down caseback is Rolex’s in-house calibre 4130. Powering the Daytona for over 20 years, the movement features a 72-hour power reserve, COSC certification, and is tested after casing to a tolerance of +2 to -2 seconds per day.

This 2018 example is presented in very good condition with some factory protective stickers in place. Included in the sale are the box, guarantee, booklet, swing tags and bezel protector. Rolex’s five-year warranty provides cover until 2023.
