Offered by a private collector, this 2018 Rolex Daytona ref. 116509 is presented with its display box, outer box, warranty card, sleeve, booklets and swing tag. Rolex’s five-year international warranty covers this example until 2023. The vendor advises the watch is in good working order and has graded it ‘A’ for condition. The images appear consistent with that assessment, showing only light hairline marks on the case and bracelet.

This handsome variant of Rolex’s iconic chronograph is finished in solid 18K white gold, with an expressive sunburst blue dial. Red accents on the sub-registers, minutes track and Daytona script offer some additional sporty character. The applied hour markers and hands are crafted from white gold which prevents oxidation and tarnishing over time.

Housed inside the case is Rolex’s first in-house chronograph movement. The calibre 4130 was introduced in 2000 and has powered the Daytona ever since. Well regarded for robustness and reliability, It’s equipped with an impressive 72-hour power reserve in addition to being chronometer certified. With a screw-down crown and pushers delivering 100m of waterproofness, the Daytona is a truly versatile watch, suitable for any occasion.
