Sell it with usFrom a private collector, this UK authorised dealer supplied 2018 Rolex Daytona ref. 116515LN is presented with its display box, outer box, warranty card, booklets and swing tags. Rolex’s five-year international warranty provides cover until December of 2023. The vendor advises the watch is in good working order and has graded the watch as ‘A’ for condition. The images appear consistent with their assessment, showing some light marks and swirls on the case and clasp.
This watch is being managed by Watch Collecting for the duration of the auction and is being held in a secure third-party facility. Watch Collecting will release the watch to the successful bidder after the vendor confirms they have received payment.
The introduction of the ref. 116515LN in 2017 brought a refreshing design update to Rolex’s iconic motorsport-inspired watch. The instantly recognisable case profile remains unchanged, however, it’s been paired with the manufacturer’s Oysterflex rubber strap. This particular example is finished in rose gold with a black “Cerachrom” bezel. Complementing the gold’s warm tones is a “sundust” dial with contrasting black sub-registers. Both the hour markers and hands are crafted from gold to prevent tarnish and oxidation over time. The coupling of precious metal with a rubber strap creates an appealing mix of luxuriousness and sporty character.
Housed inside the case is Rolex’s first in-house chronograph movement. The calibre 4130 was introduced in 2000 and has powered the Daytona ever since. It’s equipped with an impressive 72-hour power reserve in addition to being chronometer certified. A screw-down crown and pushers afford 100m of waterproofness and further add to its versatility.
