ABOUT THIS WATCH
- Since Rolex decided to discontinue the Milgauss in early 2023, this esoteric watch has reached new heights in popularity amongst collectors
- Originally launched in 1956 as a watch aimed at scientists and technicians, this contemporary example reimagines the model in a more colourful and attention-grabbing aesthetic
- Splashes of orange can be seen on the lightning bolt second-hand, minute track, “MILGAUSS” script and the hour markers at 3,6 and 9 o’clock
- Equally as striking is the green-tinted sapphire crystal, which is exclusive to the Milgauss and creates a halo effect around the edge of the glass
- Housed underneath the screw-down case back, and covered by an anti-magnetic Faraday cage, is the calibre 3131
- This automatic movement has a 48-hour power reserve, chronometer certification and is tested after casing to a tolerance of +2 to -2 seconds a day
