Sell it with usOffered by a private collector, this 2017 Rolex Daytona ref. 116528 is presented with its display box, outer box, warranty card and booklet. The vendor advises the watch is in good working order and has graded it ‘A’ for condition. The images appear consistent with that assessment, showing some marks and scratches on the case, bezel and bracelet commensurate with occasional wear.
Finished entirely in 18K yellow gold, the watch measures a purposeful 40mm in diameter and - as a result - carries significant wrist presence. For collectors seeking an interesting and nuanced dial specification, this example has gold sub-registers with stepped concentric guilloche in addition to sporty red accents on the minutes track, seconds hand and “DAYTONA” script. Referred to as a “Paul Neman” dial by collectors, it recalls the signature style of the vintage reference worn by the late American actor.
The watch is fitted with an 18K yellow gold interpretation of Rolex’s classic ‘Oyster’ bracelet, which is earmarked by its flat three-link design and polished centre links. Beneath the screw-down casing beats the in-house developed Rolex 4130 calibre which has been powering the Daytona since the launch of the third-generation reference in 2000. With a power reserve of 72 hours, this automatic movement is chronometer-certified and beats to an accuracy of +2/-2 seconds per-day after casing.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
