Sell it with usCombining Patek Philippe’s prowess in complications and the sports practicality of a Nautilus case is always a winning combination, but with the 5990/001A you get not one, but two complications, a chronograph, and a travel time. When Patek Philippe discontinued their steel Nautilus chronograph it left a noticeable hole in their collection, but no one expected the chronograph’s return to be paired with the travel-time complication that first came to life in the Aquanaut. Recognising that their Nautilus chronograph buyers might also be time-zone hopping jetsetters has resulted in this impressive reference.
The case layout is intuitive with chronograph pushers at 2 and 4 o’clock and local-time up-down pushers at 9. Under the slate grey dial is the self-winding calibre, CH 28-520 C FUS, with a minimum power reserve of 45 hours, the impeccable finishing of which, can be seen through the sapphire case back.
The watch is offered in immaculate condition, with no discernible marks. The bracelet has been sized and the four removed links are included in the sale. The box and outer carton are complete and in excellent condition including all paperwork, adjusting stylus and swing tags.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
