Sell it with usIn 2017, Omega released the 1957 Trilogy collection to mark the 60th anniversary of the Speedmaster, Railmaster and Seamaster 300. Not content with simply taking design cues from a bygone era, Omega painstakingly recreated these iconic models as a faithful re-issue. X-ray tomography was used to scan original examples, which ensured the look and feel was correct—right down to the size and materials.
Some minor differences exist between the remakes and originals, including a 60th-anniversary engraving etched into the case back. The bracelets and movements benefit from modern construction techniques, and coloured Super-Luminova is used on the hands and markers in place of radioactive tritium. This means the wearer can experience the original models’ vintage charm with the latest technology and modern build quality.
The watch presented here is the Seamaster 300 from the Trilogy collection. It’s modelled on the CK 2913, Omega’s first professional dive watch. The case is 39mm and has a uni-directional dive bezel with a thin aluminium bezel insert. The dial has a matte finish, and the hour markers are recessed into the dial and filled with coloured Super-Luminova. The famous ‘broad arrow’ hands display the hours and minutes.
The watch is in excellent condition, with some superficial marks on the case, bracelet, and clasp. It’s a full set, including a 1950s style red leather box, a pouch containing an additional leather band and NATO strap, and the warranty.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
