The vendor advises the watch is in mint condition and appears to be within the bounds of their ‘A’ grading.
Known colloquially as “the half brick”, this hefty 42mm chronograph is finished largely in satin rose gold with hand-polished bevels on the lug hoods and the flanks of its iconic octagonal bezel. As per the Royal Oak’s trademark design, this reference is fitted with the line’s traditional “mega tapisserie” dial, which is finished in matching rose gold and surrounded by a tachymeter scale. Located at 6, 9, and 12 o’clock are contrasting black subdials, whilst the gold markers are presented as Arabic numerals. A black rubber strap is screwed onto the substantial casing, giving the watch a sporty appearance.
Powering the Offshore is AP’s 3126/3840 calibre, a self-winding mechanism comprising 59 jewels and with a power reserve of 50 hours.
Introduced in 1993, the Offshore is a robust variant of AP’s iconic Royal Oak model, which was penned by Gerald Genta and considered to be one of the greatest watch designs of all time.
