ABOUT THIS WATCH
- The Oyster Perpetual 39 is a short-lived model in the Rolex catalogue, catching collectors off-guard when it was scrapped for the 2020 model year after a five years in the catalogue
- With its 39mm diameter stainless steel case, the reference 114300 was considered by many to have near-perfect dimensions and has since become a highly-sought after collector’s piece since its discontinuation
- This example is finished with a sunburst anthracite dial, with small blue pips along the minute track, which add a subtle touch of colour and playfulness to an otherwise monochromatic aesthetic
- Noted for its versatility, a screw-down crown affords the ‘OP’ a water resistance of 100 metres, and its timeless design makes it equally suited to formal and casual settings
- Beneath the screw-down caseback beats Rolex’s calibre 3132, an automatic certified-chronometer with a 48-hour power reserve
- The watch is paired with a satin-finished Oyster bracelet
