Sell it with usOffered by a private collector, this Patek Philippe Nautilus ref. 5712G-001 is presented with its display box, outer box, certificate of origin, purchase receipt, stylus, leather pouch, leather folder and booklets. The watch shows some marks and swirls on the case, and some wear is visible on the leather strap. Its overall condition appears within the bounds of the vendor’s ‘A’ grading.
The nautical-inspired 18K white gold case measures 40mm in diameter and 8.5mm thick, with the trademark winglets flanking both sides. White gold indices and hands are applied to the horizontally embossed anthracite dial, and white numerals and hands on the sub-registers provide contrast. Attached to the case via articulated lug plots is a rectangular scale alligator strap and a white gold deployant clasp.
Turning the watch over reveals the calibre 240 PS IRM C LU with a 38-house power reserve. This automatic movement is elaborately decorated with perlage and Côtes de Genève across the bridges and 22K micro motor. The Patek Philippe Seal ensures timekeeping is regulated from -3 to +2 seconds per day.
The Nautilus has become the ultimate expression of a luxury sports watch and has continued to reach new heights in collectability. The ref. 5712 brings character and technical charm to the line by integrating several popular complications - a power reserve indicator, moon phase and a radial date.
