SUMMARY

Introduced in 2016, reference IW5009 draws heavily on IWC’s Flieger watches of World War II thanks to its highly legible dial and hour markers. The watch is a development of its predecessor, the IW5004, and in addition to featuring a new, thicker crown and a stem sealing system, the IW5009 is powered by the brand’s 52110 calibre. With a power reserve of seven days, this automatic movement demonstrates why IWC is a brand widely considered to be at the forefront of contemporary watchmaking and engineering.
