Sell it with usThis Rolex Yacht-Master II ref. 116681 is offered by its original owner, who purchased it from a UK authorised dealer. It’s accompanied by the display box, outer box, warranty card, original bill of sale, booklets and spare links. Some very light marks and swirls are visible on the case and bracelet, and the watch’s condition appears to be within the bounds of the vendor’s ‘A’ grading.
The Yacht-Master II is an interesting reference within the Rolex catalogue, offering one of the company’s most complicated movements inside one of its largest cases. As a watch that already makes a statement at 44mm in diameter, this example delivers even more wrist presence with its steel and rose gold construction. This is carried over to the Oyster bracelet, fitted with polished gold centre links.
The standout technical feature is the programmable countdown timer designed for regatta sailing. It’s controlled via the “ring command” bezel which is made from rose gold with a “Cerachrom” ceramic cap. Also finished in precious metal are the screw-down crown, pushers and centre links of the Oyster bracelet. Powering the watch is calibre 4161, which offers a 72-hour power reserve and is COSC certified.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
