SUMMARY
An all-stainless steel version of Rolex's eponymous motorsport watch, the reference 116520 is an intriguing part of the Daytona's six-decades-long history - it was the first Daytona to be fitted with an in-house movement, and the last to be fitted with a steel bezel since it was replaced in 2016 with ceramic 'Cerchrom' unit. Beneath the screw-down rear casing beats Rolex's chronometer-certified calibre 4130; an automatic movement with a 72-hour power reserve.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
Any watch not covered by a current sales or service warranty should be considered as potentially requiring a service, even if in full working order on the date of purchase.
The description of this auction lot is, to the best of the seller's knowledge, accurate and not misleading.
