Sell it with usNumbered 34 of just 88 examples, this limited edition 2015 Roger Dubuis Excalibur is being auctioned through a private UK-based seller who has owned the watch from new. The reference is accompanied by its display box, guarantee document, swing tags, and an instruction manual on a CD. There are some hairline scratches on the watch’s case - particularly on the bezel - and strap clasp. Nonetheless, the watch is in good working order and fits within the bounds of the vendor’s ‘A’ grading.
Measuring 42mm in diameter, this 18K rose gold Roger Dubuis Excalibur is a creative hive of bold watch design. Its serrated polished bezel provides visual intrigue, and it surrounds a silver sunburst dial with a black outer minute track and stylised oversized Roman numeral hour markers. Further interest is created by a small seconds counter at nine o’clock. Meanwhile, the 18k rose gold “Dauphine” hands provide the reference with a stylish, refined appearance. Attached to the watch is a brown alligator leather strap.
This watch is powered by the manufacture calibre RD77, which is nicely decorated with Côtes de Genève on the bridges. This self-winding movement is equipped with a micro rotor which ensures an uninhibited view of the components.
A watchmaker that splits opinions with its daring designs, Roger Dubuis was founded in 1995. Its Excalibur reference launched a decade later and showcases the watchmaker’s daring designs.
All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
