SUMMARY

Produced in 2014 as a limited edition of 400 pieces in rose gold to mark 175 years of Patek Philippe, the multi-scale chronograph is a quirky watch that echo’s the type produced in the 1950s. It is not about elapsed time, hence there are no subdials, but about elevating the recording tracks commonly found around the edge of chronograph dials. The outer telemeter scale measures distance, traditionally used by artillery officers to gauge the range of a firing gun. The second scale is to enable doctors to measure heart rate. The final is a tachymeter, most commonly associated with measuring speed. At 40mm in diameter, with elegantly stepped lugs, but only 10.25mm in height this is a slim watch, with Calibre CH 28-520 beating away inside. The watch is matched with a factory leather strap featuring a signed Patek rose gold deployant clasp.

All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.

Any watch not covered by a current sales or service warranty should be considered as potentially requiring a service, even if in full working order on the date of purchase.

The description of this auction lot is, to the best of the seller's knowledge, accurate and not misleading.
