Offered by an established UK-based dealer with a 24-month warranty, this Patek Philippe Annual Calendar Flyback Chronograph ref. 5960/1A-001 is presented with its display box, certificate of origin, manuals and booklets. No visible blemishes can be seen on the watch, and its overall condition appears to be within the bounds of the vendor’s ‘AA’ grading.

The watch presents in a 40.5mm stainless steel case finished in a high polish. It’s paired with a five-link stainless steel bracelet which is also polished and has a double deployant clasp with a clamshell locking mechanism. The ref. 5960/1A-001 is feature-rich with multiple complications, including a chronograph neatly displayed at 6 o’clock and an annual calendar complication shown in apertures across the top of the silver-white dial. The watch is highly legible with blackened indices and hands, and the red chronograph hands add a touch of sportiness.

On display through the exhibition case back is the calibre CH 28-520 IRM QA 24H, Patek Philippe’s first automatic winding in-house chronograph movement. It’s expertly hand-finished with Côtes de Genève across the bridges and 21K winding rotor. The Patek Philippe seal ensures performance no worse than -3 to +2 seconds per day.

The ref. 5960/1A-001 first debuted in 2014 and had a relatively short production run, being discontinued in 2018. In addition to the rise in popularity of stainless steel sports Patek Philippe watches, the limited number of examples means collectors have recently turned their focus to this interesting model.

All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
