BreitlingAvenger Blackbird

Rugged and robust, this Breitling Avenger Blackbird pays tribute to the first iteration of the watch from 1995. Named after the Lockheed SR-71 “Blackbird”, it is designed to evoke the speed and stealth of the fastest jet plane in the world.

Despite its size, the watch wears comfortably thanks to its DLC coated titanium construction and black textile strap. Sitting on the case is a uni-directional dive bezel with several Breitling hallmarks, including digital-style engraved numerals, rider tabs, and bolts that physically hold it to the watch.

The dial emphasises the importance of simplicity and legibility on a pilot’s watch. With a black base and contrasting ecru indices and hands, reading the time is effortless, even when travelling at Mach 3+ speeds. Powering the watch is the Breitling 17 calibre, a movement commonly used for aviation watches.

This 2015 example was placed into storage by the seller after purchase, and its condition is within the bounds of their 'AA' grading. The sale includes the box, electronic warranty card, user manual, chronometer certificate, flyer, international warranty condition booklet and swing tag.
