Sell it with usOffered by a private collector, this Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore is presented with its display box, outer box, warranty papers, booklets, service receipt and carry bag. The vendor advises the watch was recently given a full service and overhaul at a cost of £4,000, which included the replacement of the bezel and rubber strap. Its overall condition is consistent with the vendor’s ‘AA’ grading.
The 44mm case of this 2015 example is finished in steel with expertly hand-laid polished bevels along the flanks and lug hoods. Similar attention to detail can be seen on the ceramic bezel. Audemars Piguet has applied a “mega tapiserrie” finish to the dial, with contrasting black sub-registers displaying the chronograph and constant seconds. Gold applied hour markers, and Royal Oak hands are filled with Super-LumiNova offering superior legibility to the wearer. A water resistance rating of 100m ensures this watch is suitable for any occasion.
On the underside, an exhibition case back displays the calibre 3126/3840. This automatic calibre is elaborately decorated with Côtes de Genève and polished bevels on the bridges. The power reserve is rated at 50 hours.
First released in 1992, the Offshore takes the Royal Oak's distinctive look, adding a more robust design perfectly suited to contemporary tastes.
